February 25 2025 – Parents’ meeting at the Kpedze Senior High School

Introduction

On the 8th of February 2025, the school’s assembly hall buzzed with anticipation as about 352 parents and guardians gathered to participate in a pivotal meeting aimed at driving school improvement initiatives. The event was a testament to the strong community spirit and shared commitment towards enhancing the educational experience for all students. Chaired by Mr. Kojo Mensah, the PTA Chairman, the meeting saw the active involvement of parents, teachers, and esteemed community members such as Prof. Sylvia Morrison, also known as Mama Agbalenyo, the development queen mother of Kpedze Todze.

This report captures the essence of the discussions, the strategic plans unveiled, and the collaborative efforts that underscore the school’s dedication to progress. Key highlights include the exciting HITA-KPESCO partnership focused on establishing two state-of-the-art ICT Laboratories, enhanced extracurricular activities, and significant infrastructure upgrades. Opening Remarks

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman of the PTA, Mr. Kojo Mensah, who welcomed all parents, teachers, and guardians. HITA-KPESCO Partnership

Madam Ernestina Doris Akosua Peniana gave an inspiring briefing on the HITA-KPESCO partnership, focusing on the transformative impact of establishing two state-of-the-art ICT Laboratories. She shared insights from the three-day visit by the German partners Thomas Erkert, Daniel Gerlach , and Sven, who conducted a thorough inspection of the facilities. Their expert recommendations ensure that the labs will meet international standards and significantly enhance the students’ learning experience.

“The ICT Labs will empower our students with the skills needed to thrive in a digital world,” said Madam Ernestina. “We are grateful for the unwavering support from HITA and our community.”

This initiative is expected to benefit over 1,200 students, providing them with access to modern technology and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. The collaboration between HITA and KPESCO is a testament to our commitment to delivering quality education and preparing our students for the future.

Formation of Committees

Several committees were formed to oversee specific projects:
