Enabling and empowerment

HITA e.V. strives for equal opportunities with its “Enabling and Empowerment” program. The ultimate goal is “empowerment.” In development cooperation, this is primarily understood as a process that strengthens the self-confidence of disadvantaged population groups and enables them to articulate their interests and participate in the political process. The focus is on strengthening people’s existing potential. HITA e.V. would like to work together with the stakeholders in the Ghanaian health and education system to develop the necessary steps to ensure that the improvements initiated actually reach the system and show lasting improvement. HITA e.V. does not give away charity, but promotes self-determined learning and patient-oriented work through its role.
