Imageflyer: New HITA info brochure

" Information technologies in health care of developing countries? " some will think. Trying to establish information technologies in countries where even the power supply is partially lacking sounds like a downright absurd undertaking. And yet, this very idea could help improve healthcare in Africa. Our interest is in how to use "adequate" technologies to support health care in developing countries.

The basis for this is that the major telecommunications providers have now equipped countries like Ghana with state-of-the-art mobile communications technology that enables a wide range of potential applications. Mobile communications corridors can now be reached comparatively quickly even in rural areas. Based on this, we founded the association "HITA - Healthcare IT for Africa". It is intended to contribute to the education and training of nursing staff and to medical care in several steps.

In doing so, our motivation grows out of our sense of equal opportunity with a focus on empowerment. We don't give away charity, but see our role as enabling self-directed learning and patient-centered work. On July 5, our new image flyer with the complete text went to press and was immediately distributed at the Johner Institute in Konstanz on the day of the conference. The flyer is available for free download for referrals, support and further information.
