New NGO in Ghana: ARDI!

Since September 5, 2014, HITA has been collaborating with the organization ARDI (Advocacy for Rural Development International) in Ghana. The NGO is based in East Legon, Accra and was founded by George Dogbey and Kofi Karikari. ARDI supports social institutions such as orphanages, schools for the disabled and care facilities in rural and particularly remote areas of Ghana. Dogbey is a teacher in the Volta Region and Karikari has had a disability in his right arm since birth. The two know their stuff and now support several facilities near Hohoe in the Volta Region with an expanding network. In addition, the organization also places volunteers who want to provide development assistance here and help in the facilities in care, education or teaching.
