Volleyballs for primary school pupils and new HITA Office in Ghana

Thomas welcomes the kids 2

Our HITA team is now back in Germany after the extensive and successful project trip. A lot has happened in the Volta Region and a lot has been accomplished! The polyclinic in Hasu received new medical equipment, furniture and high quality equipment, numerous computers, notebooks, printers and office equipment were donated to Health Care Center and to teachers at SONAM University and also a volleyball donation went to the children of an elementary school. Students from the Carlo Mierendorff School in Frankfurt have collected and regularly carry out similar actions, more info here: Taten für Morgen. A lot fit into our container, we were able to help extensively and make many people happy. However, this is only the cornerstone for now, we could and would like to do much more and carry out more projects like this. But we can only do this if we have the necessary resources at our disposal. At the end of the article is all the information on how to become a member or support HITA. There is still a lot to do, now it is important that the installed, donated and implemented technologies are used accordingly and that there is also a lively contact with the stakeholders in Ghana. To solve this in the best possible way, a HITA Office was established in Ho. The Campus WLAN is up and running, and the opening was a complete success. This innovative pilot project can be transferred to all other types of schools in Ghana. Since the ceremonial inauguration, HITA now acts as Development Chief in the Hasu Community through Chairman Thomas Erkert. So it will remain exciting.
