Now the real work begins!

It simply feels good when our work is recognized. We are delighted that our partner, the Grow Your Dream Foundation, appreciates our collaboration so much and has presented us with this citation certificate. We feel the same way about our joint work. It’s great what has developed over the years from a contact with our former board member Karsten Gareis. Thank you Karsten for “pushing” the collaboration with our colleagues. We are only at the beginning and will do everything we can to continue to support the great work of this foundation in all areas in the future. Karsten is currently working on a project proposal for the Schmitz Foundations, with whom we have already completed several projects.

Last week we reported on our “WhatsApp4PregnantWomen+YoungMothers” project. As we wrote, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding together with representatives in which our cooperation is regulated. The group around Patricia, Rafael, Francisca, Gideon and Flora met on Monday to take the first steps.

To document your meeting, you use a form that we have developed for better structuring and documentation of often long and inefficient meetings and which we make available to all our partners.

Our new partner Adam Siaka was also very effective and wrote several articles for online news portals in Ghana in which he drew attention to the grievances surrounding our “OneBed4All” project(https://newsghana.com.gh/over-120-donated-hospital-beds-stuck-at-ghanas-harbor/ ). The radio interview that Daniel and Thomas gave was also broadcast on many radio stations.

We expect an update shortly on the containers with 120 hospital beds that are still stuck in the port. A lot has happened since our discussions with our lawyers and those of the other side in Accra. Our partner Mensah Rex is working tirelessly to find a solution. We are cautiously optimistic that we will soon hear positive news.

Meeting Notes

Last but not least, we are in close contact with Godwin France, who is currently challenging us on a daily basis with his enthusiasm. Our project, which aims to teach young people on three oncology wards during their chemotherapy treatments, requires close daily coordination.

As you can see, things will continue “full steam ahead” even after our trip. If our reports here on these pages or on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn have whetted your appetite to get actively involved in these exciting projects, then get in touch with us(info@hita-ev.org). See you soon!
